My Space

Does anyone else feel like September is flying by? It is Monday again, and there is only one more Monday left in September.

To motivate me to clean and organize my room I decided to use this Monday’s segment to show you guys my room which is basically my working corner with my desk and my reading corner with my bookshelf and my amazing rug.

My reading corner is pretty simple, I definitely need a new bookshelf because I used to keep my rock/mineral collection on here and now it is just on the top with a couple of my plants. My bookshelf is pretty full, but I have not read many of these and plan on donating most – so I will be good for a while.

My working corner is basically just my desk and supplies, I have my salt lamp which is truthfully beautiful and calming. I spend most my time doing work here, but I also use it to journal and my bulletin board I use to post memories of the year which I empty into a box in the new year!

My room really describes me, you will find books, rocks, maps, art supplies and decorations that will tell you a bit about me. I love being in here!

What does your “space” look like?

July Book Haul (All Used Books)

Processed with VSCO with a5 preset
A successful (and cheap) book haul!

I met up with two different people I contacted through a Facebook used book group and managed to snag 10 books for $30!!! (1 of them is not pictured because I purchased it for a friend).

Buying used books is something I strongly advocate. Using buy and sell groups – especially book specific ones- are a great way to find books on your wishlist and get them for cheap.

My great finds consist of:

  • Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth
  • Gemina by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
  • In a Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware
  • What She Knew by Gilly Macmillan
  • Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children Series
  • Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard
  • The Time Traveller’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
